This was one of the best campaigns that almost wasn’t. This entire campaign was going to be scrapped because of some good old fashioned street stenciling, that was executed in paint and not chalk. At the time; it was total chaos as angry city officials were calling IBM. And, teams of agency people had to clean up almost every corner in five major cities. Oops!
Lucky, due to the brilliance of our IBM client, we were able to salvage these animations and create a fairly successful viral email campaign that doubled IBM’s email base in just a few weeks. If you click on the director’s cut, you’ll see our favorite version, the one no one else ever saw.
